| John Day was born and raised in a boating community and has over 50 years "hands on" experience in the boating industry. Beginning in 1958, he was a first mate on charter boats until acquiring his captain's license in 1968. He then built and operated his own charter boat until accepting a full time position in 1991 as a private boat captain and held this position for over 16 years. He then decided to further his career by attending the Chapman School of Seamanship and became a graduate of the Yacht and Small Craft Surveying class. John's knowledge and experience in the boating/marine industry enables him to provide you with your marine surveying needs.
